Help-Needed Announcement: Environmental Film Festival
Here's a great and timely opportunity to help bring into being an environmental film festival sponsored by Green Mountain View. The objective is provide motivational films to further sustainability objectives in a fun venue. The film festival committee is intent on presenting the festival in the Spring of 2010, hopefully around Earth Day.
The committee is focusing on bringing films to Mountain View through an existing organization, the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival (WSEEF), which offers an on-tour version of their festival to organizations like Green Mountain View.
Currently, the committee has only three members, and a couple more volunteers are urgently needed to cover the following activities, which do not yet have anyone assigned to them :
- Publicity/PR
- Programming (i.e., selecting films for our festival from those that are available, and not necessarily limited to WSEEF films)
The committee can use help in other areas besides just the publicity and programs, however. So, if you want to get involved and support the finance or venue portions, your help in these areas would be appreciated as well.
The committee is actively meeting on a regular basis to determine the details of the program. If you would like to be involved in this interesting and valuable project, or if you would like further details...
